Manufactured here at our works by curing a single layer of 200g woven carbon fibre (fiber) fabric either side of a single layer of 300g Uni Directional (UD) carbon fibre reinforcement under a vacuum at 120 Deg C, which produces a 0.75mm (0.030") thickness (30 thousandths of an inch) this is a lightweight but exceptionally strong material - a true aerospace grade product, with an amazing surface finish.
Although still thin enough to be bonded to a surface to produce that 'carbon fiber look' this moderately stiff material is better suited to lighter loaded structural applications - Fantastic as a dash board panel or auxilliary gauge/clock panel on a track/sports/kit car or indeed in very light highly (scale) loaded applications in modelling or robotics. It is important to note that it is still a bit flexible but cannot be cut with sheers - you'll need a hacksaw or as we use - a jigsaw with a 'ceramic use' blade. If you can bend it into a radius you can actually measure, you are a LOT stronger than us!! This material is airtight and water proof.
