Manufactured here at our works by curing a single layer of 200g/sqm woven carbon fibre (fiber) fabric either side of two layers of 300g/sqm Uni Directional (UD) carbon fibre reinforcement under a vacuum at 120 Deg C, which produces a 1.0mm (0.040") thickness (40 thousandths of an inch) this is a lightweight but exceptionally strong material - a true aerospace grade product, with an amazing surface finish.
Although still thin enough to be bonded to a surface to produce that 'carbon fiber look' this moderately stiff material is better suited to lighter loaded structural applications - Fantastic as a free standing dash board panel or auxilliary gauge/clock panel on a track/sports/kit car or indeed in highly loaded applications in modelling or robotics. It is important to note that it is only just in any way flexible and cannot be cut with sheers - you'll need a hacksaw or as we use - a jigsaw with a 'ceramic use' blade. If you can bend it into a radius you can actually measure, you are a LOT stronger than us!! This material is airtight and water proof.
