This tube is STRONG! T700 grade carbon has a massive tensile and compressive load bearing ability and like all carbon fibre it is very stiff. This stuff is around 5 times stronger than aluminium of the same weight and 6 or 7 times stronger than steel.

Dave says: "But be warned! You won't be able to bend it unless you are using the smaller diameters - and then you'll only be able to bend it around a large 'gentle' radius - If you want to form a tight curve forget it... and in technical terms carbon fibre structures only do elastic deformation -not plastic... Which means when you remove the force holding them in a curve they spring back to their original shape!"
