Consisting of a machined aluminium base which you enclose inside the vacuum bag, which when the bag is sealed, you then screw the top part of the fitting into. This cuts a neat circle out of the vacuum bag film, while a nitrile rubber washer ensures a leak free fit. The top of the top part is machined to have a 1/4BSP thread onto which you can fit a flexible hose - or indeed as you will find in most composite facilities a neat upgrade is to fit a 1/4 BSP threaded male hydraulic coupling, with a female connector on the hose from the pump.
